Located on the eastern edge of the town of Altenmarkt, the elementary school, the sports-focused secondary school, the PT school, and the music school form a shared educational campus. Since the existing building complex no longer meets the latest technical and teaching requirements, the design expands it into a unified concept. The schools remain clearly identifiable as distinct types of schools through their individual building arrangements and are connected by a single-story structure that serves as a central hub. This clearly defined arrangement of the buildings allows each school to be accessed independently.

The music school marks the northern boundary of the campus, adjacent to the sports-focused secondary school, thus defining the school forecourt and separating it from the street. To the east, the ensemble is expanded to include 14 classrooms for the elementary school and enhanced by attractive green spaces. The PT school, with three classrooms, forms the western boundary of the site.

The shared sports hall is centrally located between the three schools and is directly connected to the central hub via its bleachers. Its central location and open layout make it accessible and usable for students and visitors. The roof will also provide open spaces for the PT school and the sports-focused secondary school, significantly enhancing the existing buildings.

The individual schools differ in their facade design, further enhancing their distinct character as separate structures. The planned timber construction with a high degree of prefabrication ensures sustainable, regional, and cost-effective production with a short construction time.
